Managed Health Services (MHS) has been serving Wisconsin families for over 25 years. It was founded by Betty Brinn in Milwaukee in 1984. Betty’s mission was to provide excellent health care to low income women and children. Through the years, Managed Health Services has expanded on this mission and now provides managed care services for entire families through the (Medicaid) Badger Care Plus program and for people with disabilities through the Social Security Insurance (SSI) program and our Special Needs Plan through Medicare.

The company is made up of bilingual customer service staff, nurses, social workers, behavioral health specialists, out-reach workers, care coordinators, and advocates that can connect with healthcare providers to offer a multidisciplinary approach to wellness.

You may be a member of Managed Health Services (MHS.) Or, you may be a member of Network Health Plan (NHP.) The BadgerCarePlus and SSI members of both health plans are managed by MHS. MHS began managing the Medicaid and BadgerCare programs of Network Health Plan in 1996. Network Health Plan is also a commercial health insurance plan based in Menasha in Winnebago County.
