Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)

What is a FQHC?

You may know a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) as your local community health clinic. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services makes available FQHCs across the country to expand and improve the availability and ease of access of primary and preventive health care services, and related support services provided to low income individuals.

What do they offer?

FQHCs offer a schedule of discounts for persons unable to pay a full fee, including nominal or no fees for services provided to the poorest of the populations served. Please visit the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services for further information, www.hrsa.org.
