Introduction
Advantage by Managed Health Services HMO SNP (Advantage by MHS) is a Special Needs Plan that is designed to provide access to personal, local care and care management services to people who have Medicare and Medicaid coverage (dual eligibles).

The service areas for this Special Needs Program are: Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Marathon, Taylor and Langlade counties.

Membership
Advantage by MHS membership numbers are growing rapidly. If you haven’t already seen an increase in program members in your office, here is an example of the card you’ll soon be seeing more of – the card carried by members of Advantage by MHS:

Billing
Currently, claims for SNP patients are handled the same way in which you bill for dual eligibles. The claim is first billed to our SNP program. Once paid, it is billed according to the standard MHS Medicaid process.
