Help Spread the Word About Cyberbullying Among Youth

Date: 03/29/22

More than half of U.S. teens have been bullied or harassed online. There are probably more we don’t know about.

Cyberbullying is bullying using electronic means. It can happen on any digital device like a phone, computer, or tablet. It includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. Social media, text messages, emails, and websites can be used for cyberbullying.

The youth in our country are feeling sad, hopeless, stressed, and anxious. The COVID-19 pandemic has made things worse.

MHS Health Wisconsin cares about the youth in Wisconsin. We believe it’s important for us to raise awareness of cyberbullying. We want to encourage Wisconsin’s youth to get involved as well.

The Centene Institute is hosting a Youth Impact Award for Cyberbullying Awareness and Prevention and are asking youth ages 14-19 to help raise awareness about the harms of cyberbullying.

Here is how all Wisconsin youth ages 14-19 can enter the contest.

1.       Watch a short video and read a fact sheet on cyberbullying.

2.       Read the contest rules and entry information.

3.       Submit an original visual art entry that talks about cyberbullying awareness and prevention.

Entries will be accepted now through May 20, 2022.
